Nota AI Joins ‘AI for Everyone’ Following National Foundation Model Project, Expanding Optimization from National AI Models to Services for Everyday Use

Nota AI, a company specializing in AI model compression and optimization, announced that it is participating in the Korean government’s “AI for Everyone” initiative following its involvement in the Independent AI Foundation Model Project, expanding its role in optimization across the full AI lifecycle from model development to real-world service deployment.

“AI for Everyone” is a government-led initiative launched by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency to make AI services easily and safely accessible to people in their daily lives. Nota AI is participating in the consortium led by SK Telecom in the AI model infrastructure area, where it is responsible for model compression and optimization.

While the Independent AI Foundation Model Project focuses on developing a nationally competitive foundation model, AI for Everyone is designed to bring those AI capabilities into services that people can use in everyday life. By participating in both initiatives, Nota AI is applying its optimization technology across two distinct stages of the national AI ecosystem. At the model development stage, the company reduces computational and memory requirements, while at the service stage, it improves operational efficiency to support stable performance at scale.

The SK Telecom-led consortium plans to develop an AI service that understands users’ situations and needs, provides personalized public and lifestyle information, and connects users to relevant follow-up actions. The service is expected to expand into an action-oriented AI platform capable of supporting public service searches and applications, certificate issuance, as well as reservations, applications and payments across areas including healthcare, transportation, finance and education.

Nota AI will support both AI model optimization and the operational efficiency of AI services so that models can run quickly and reliably in real-world environments. Through this role, the company aims to help translate the technical capabilities of Korea’s national AI models into services that users can directly experience.

AI services designed for nationwide use must process a wide range of requests from large numbers of users simultaneously. These requests can range from simple information retrieval to complex tasks requiring multiple stages of reasoning and tool use. Relying on a single high-performance model for every task can increase infrastructure requirements and reduce operational efficiency.

Because real-world AI services increasingly involve multiple AI models and AI agents operating at the same time, optimization is critical to making efficient use of limited computing resources. Delivering high-quality services requires not only model performance, but also response speed, stability, memory usage and computational efficiency.

Based on its proprietary AI model compression and optimization platform, NetsPresso, Nota AI reduces computational and memory requirements while preserving model performance. By jointly analyzing model characteristics and target hardware environments, the platform enables efficient deployment across a wide range of infrastructure, including data centers, enterprise servers and edge devices.
